Ok everyone.. tomorrow is meetup day!
All the info you need is on the flyer we have posted. If you have any questions, just send me (lovelesswrists84@gmail.com) or mikey (michaelp326@gmail.com) an email. RSVP and/or feel free to just show up. We will have some juice for mixers, a few bottles of yumminess, and a few snacks but this is mostly a BYO-whatever kinda thing.

Location
The February LA/OC Tumblr meetup is Friday, February 20, 2009 at 9pm. We’ve decided to do it at a house this month. Del found a location that gives us the space to do a lot of different stuff. It has a deck, outside area, and hot tub to name a few things. We can also set up stuff like Beer Pong.

Ok, so I just paid $180 for 3 tables from 9p-1a now. It seems there will be some people arriving as early as 7, but it cut my up-front out of pocket cost… nine will be when we have a dedicated space.

So here is the deal, I just put down a $100 deposit at Hollywood Billiards to ensure that we had some tables (3) and certainly a dedicated area for us all to congregate. I’ve received some e-mails from people who are worried about coming to the Tumblr meetup because they’re scared of meeting other people.
Hey— it’s natural to feel intimidated about the idea of meeting people when you only know their online persona. I understand. But trust me— I know many of the lovely Los Angeles and Orange County people and they are awesome.

SOME IDEAS
Ok kids, so I have received some emails with some suggestions of places for this to happen. I will now list them in no particular order and see what you all think.
Hollywood Billiards // on Hollywood, Blvd :: lots of TVs playing sports and lots of pool tables, large space for a large turn out, beer on tap, full bar, jukebox (i think..)

LA MEET UP
Hi Kids,
So it seems at least for now, the LA and the OC will not be trying to combine their meet up. That said, anyone from anywhere can COME to the meet ups, but for the sake of those in each place… i think we start small.
There seems to be a lot of talk from the majority of the LA-based Tumblr’s that the Hollywood Area would be preferred. So we will start with that region.
